Join Celebrity Pastry Chef Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, LLC Competitor on Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship in our fun and creative Mother's Day Fondant Cake Decorating Class. Get Inspired and create a cake for yourself or that special Mother in your life! This cake is the sweetest Mother’s Day gift!

During this class, each participant will learn how to level, crumb coat, fill and apply the final layer of buttercream to their cake. Students will then learn to cover their cake in fondant and to use an impression mat to create designs on the cake. Students will also learn how to apply sugar pearls, a pre-made gumpaste flower and a Mother's Day cake topper. Chef Dawn will share additional decorating tips and techniques throughout the class.

This class is great for beginners or as a refresher!

Available for students ages 16+.

All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the class only. A box will be provided for students to take their cake home. All students are eligible for a 5% discount on purchases at Fran's on the day of class. 

Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maximum of 6. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
