Buttercream Designs Cake Decorating Class

About this class:

There are so many fun ways to decorate your buttercream cakes! In this class, Pastry Chef Mayra Garcia from celebrateMe!, will teach you how to decorate cakes with popular and stylish buttercream designs. Students will learn various piping techniques to make the following designs: Rosettes, Ruffles and Pulled Dots.

During the class, students will practice different designs on a dummy cake. Each student will receive a 5” crumb coated cake ready to be iced with the design they like best. This class is recommended for students that have taken the Intro to Cake Decorating class or have basic knowledge working with Buttercream.

Meet Your Instructor:

Pastry Chef Mayra Garcia has been designing cakes, cookies, and sweets for as long as she can remember. She has competed on Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge and has been featured on our local morning shows. She has a passion for helping others learn the joy and art of cake and cookie decorating and she is thrilled to have an opportunity to share her skills with you! All The Details:

  • Age Level: 13+
  • Skill Level: Some knowledge of working with buttercream
  • All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
  • We will provide a box to take your cake home in
  • The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
  • If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
  • Price is per person. A ticket must be purchased for each individual attending the class.
  • Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maximum of 10 students. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
  • Class will run approximately 2 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
