May 19th, Saturday, 11am-2pm –  Floral Summer Wreath Cake -  $85/Student

In this class, Mayra Garcia from celebrateMe!, will teach you how to use buttercream to decorate a beautiful floral summer wreath cake. Students will learn various piping techniques to make buttercream flowers and border patterns. (Similar to image but in summer colors: yellow, orange, green)

The workshop will begin with a demo on how to build, fill and ice a cake properly. Each student will receive a 6” crumb coated cake ready to be iced one final time with perfect edges. The workshop will last for 3 hours and will include a box to take the cake home in.  

Available to students ages 13+, children ages 10-12 accepted if accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled in the workshop.

All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the workshop only. Students will receive a 5% discount on all purchases at Fran's Cake and Candy Supplies on the day of the class.

May 20th, Sunday, 11am-1pm –  Mommy & Me - $65/student+ parent

In this class, Mayra Garcia from celebrateMe!, will teach you and your child how to use fondant to decorate 8 Farm Themed Cupcakes. Children, with the assistance of their parent, will learn how to roll out fondant and make animal faces.

All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the workshop only. A box will be provided to take your cupcakes home with you.  Students will receive a 5% discount on all purchases at Fran's Cake and Candy Supplies on the day of the class.

Available to children ages 4-9 accompanied and assisted by a parent or guardian. Limited spots available!!

June 2nd, Saturday, 2pm-5pm –  Tweens & Teens Cake Decorating Class - Unicorn Cake - $80/student

Join award-winning Pastry Chef Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes to learn to create an awesome Unicorn cake!

Participants will learn the following:

  • How to assemble a two layer cake
  • Various piping techniques
  • How to create fondant decorations
  • How to cover a cake with fondant

Each participant will apply their new skills to create their very own Unicorn cake!

It's a Daddy & Me cake decorating class with award-winning Pastry Chef Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes. Each Daddy/child team will create a men's dress shirt cake with a tie.

The Daddy & Child teams will learn how to make buttercream, apply the buttercream to the cake, cover the cake with fondant and use fondant decorations to complete their cake.

Each team will will take their Shirt and Tie cake creation home with them.

In this class Steph Lawshe from Sweet Little Morsels, LLC will teach you how to make beautiful modern sugar Ranunculus in just a few easy steps that will provide that WOW factor to your cakes! You will learn how to work with sugar paste (Gumpaste), cut out and shape petals, creating a realistic look to each petal, assembling and dusting your Ranunculus with subtle, yet realistic shading.

All items and tools needed to create the sugar Ranunculus will be provided for use during the class only.

Students will be provided with extra sugar paste, a PDF print out with step-by-step instructions and a cake dummy to place flowers in to take home. Students will receive a 5% discount on all purchases at Fran's Cake and Candy Supplies on the day of the class.
