 January 19th, Saturday, 11am-1pm – Parent & Me Class - Winter Wonderland Cupcakes - SOLD OUT

Kids Cupcake Decorating

In this class, Mayra Garcia from celebrateMe!, will teach you how to work with fondant and create 6 Woodland fondant cupcake toppers. Each team will receive 6 cupcakes ready to be decorated with a buttercream swirl and their fondant toppers. Toppers include: Owls, Foxes, Acorns and Deer. The workshop will include a box to take the cupcakes home in.

All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the workshop only. Students will receive a 5% discount on all purchases at Fran's Cake and Candy Supplies on the day of the class.

In this class Steph Lawshe from Sweet Little Morsels, LLC will teach you how to make beautiful classic sugar Roses in just a few easy steps that will provide that WOW factor to your cakes! You will learn how to work with sugar paste (Gumpaste), cut out petals using single and 5 petal cutters, creating a realistic look to each petal, assembling and dusting your roses with subtle, yet realistic shading.

All items and tools needed to create the sugar roses will be provided for use during the class only.

You will learn how to work with sugar paste (Gumpaste), cut out and wire each petal using Peony cutters and groove board, creating a realistic look to each petal, assembling and dusting your Peonies with subtle, yet realistic shading.

Please note - this is a 2-day class. The class will take place on Saturday and Sunday (3/16 and 3/17) from 10am-1:30pm both days.

In this class Steph Lawshe from Sweet Little Morsels, LLC will teach you how to decorate a cake using sugar lace. The class will begin with a quick demo of Steph showing students how to make sugar lace and apply it to a sugar lace mat. After the demo we will get to work on cake dummies that each student will cover in fondant and decorate them with sugar lace. After students are done decorating their cake dummies, each of them will receive a sugar flower to place on their cake dummy to add that finishing touch. Steph will also share some tips, tricks and a few simple design techniques you can do with sugar lace. 


This is a great class for beginners and bakers who want to learn a simple and easy way to decorate a cake.

Edible Lace and Dress Class - Postponed - New date and time to be announced

Edible Lace Class

In this class, Linda Rothgeb from Cakes By Linda will teach you various methods and techniques for using edible lace/fabric from beginning to end. Edible lace/fabric is great for any cake including Quinceanera and Indian wedding cakes.  You will learn ruffles, cutting, coloring, sugar necklace and embellishing.

This is a two part class - day 1 is mandatory but day 2 is optional.

Day 1 - Saturday, November 10th, 2pm-4pm - $125  - Basics of working with edible lace

Day 2 - Sunday, November 11th, 2pm-4pm - $100 - Dress Assembly

  • Large (24x36) Silicon mat (Preferably ATECO, dark blue) or Frosted Vinyl 12G

  • Disco and Dusting colors of your choice.
