Cake and Cookie Icing Demonstration
Mayra Garcia from celebrateMe!, will demonstrate and teach you how to make 4 different types of cake frosting including: Swiss Merengue, Cream Cheese Frosting, Vanilla and Chocolate American Buttercream. Students will take home 4 cupcakes, each topped off with a different frosting.
Students will learn how to make royal icing for cookie decorating. Mayra will teach you how to acquire the proper consistency for outlining and flooding your cookies.
Class will be between 2.5-3 hours long. This is a demonstration only class, although it will be very hands on as we will feel and taste each icing as we go.
Available to students ages 13+.Â
All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the workshop only. All students are eligible for a 5% discount on purchases at Fran's on the day of class.
Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maximum of 8 students. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.Â
Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
In response to the pandemic, we have modified our class space in order to maintain proper social distancing. Face coverings are required during the class. If you forget yours, we have disposable face masks that you can use. We also have plenty of hand sanitizer for use during the class.
