Designed specifically for our youngest aspiring bakers and their grown-ups, this enchanting workshop is the perfect way to spend quality time together while exploring your creativity. No prior decorating experience is needed—just bring your imagination and a love for all things sparkly! In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you and your little one will learn the basics of cookie decorating with royal icing in a fun, supportive environment. We will provide everything you need to transform freshly baked sugar cookies into whimsical unicorn masterpieces. From piping colorful pastel manes to adding the perfect amount of edible glitter and sprinkles, we will guide you step-by-step through the magical process.

What’s Included in Your Ticket:

•A Pre-Baked Cookie Kit: Each parent-child duo will receive a set of freshly baked, delicious sugar cookies (including unicorn faces, rainbows, stars, and clouds) ready to be brought to life.

•All Decorating Supplies: We provide an array of pastel royal icings, edible glitter, shimmering pearl dust, and fun sprinkles.

•Step-by-Step Guidance: Chef Dawn will walk you through simple, kid-friendly decorating techniques perfect for tiny hands.

•Take-Home Bakery Box: You will leave with a beautiful box to safely transport your magical creations home (if you don't eat them all first!).

•A Magical Experience: Create lasting memories, take adorable photos, and enjoy a sweet bonding activity with your child.

This class is ideal for children ages 5 and up accompanied by an adult. Spaces are limited to ensure everyone gets plenty of one-on-one assistance, so be sure to reserve your spot before they disappear like magic!

Meet Your Instructor:

Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, grew up in Northern Virginia where she started baking at the age of six. Dawn holds an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and has competed in many local baking events and in 2018 she competed on Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship. All The Details:

• Age Level: 5-14 with a parent/adult
• Skill Level: Beginner
• Each ticket includes 1 adult and 1 child. If you wish to bring more than 1 child to the class, there will be an additional charge of $75. Please contact Fran's directly to purchase your ticket to ensure we can accommodate an additional child.
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box for each team to take your cake home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Class requires a minimum of 2 teams and there is a maximum of 8 teams. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
