Two-Tiered Buttercream Cake Decorating Class
Join Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, LLC competitor on Food Networks Wedding Cake Championship, for a fun & creative cake decorating class with buttercream.
In this fun and informative class, you will learn how to build and stack a two-tiered cake and create Meringue buttercream! Each participant will receive 5- inch and 7-inch cakes and will learn the following skills:
- How to level your cakes
- How to create meringue buttercream
- How to fill the cakes
- How to crumb coat the cakes
- How to apply the final buttercream
- How to dowel the cakes
- How to stack the cakes
- How to apply pre-made gumpaste flowers to the cake
Chef Dawn will share additional tips and cake decorating techniques throughout the class. This is a great class for beginners or if you need a refresher.
Appropriate for ages 15+
Light refreshments will be provided
All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the workshop only. Students will receive a box to take their cake home in. All students are eligible for a 5% discount on purchases at Fran's on the day of class. This class can be a little messy so you may wish to bring an apron.
Class requires a minimum of 4 participants and there is a maximum of 6 students. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
