Join Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, LLC, competitor on Food Networks, The Wedding Cake Championship, for a hands-on, tiered-cake, decorating class using real cake! During this class, the participants will learn how to apply buttercream and how to cover their cakes with fondant while building a two-tiered cake!
The participants will get hands-on lessons with piping tips and will learn cake decorating techniques including how to cover cakes with fondant, how to build a two-tiered cake, and how to place silk flowers on cakes.
This is a great class for beginner cake decorators and as a refresher; especially if you have taken the beginner’s cake decorating class with fondant.
All items and tools needed to decorate will be provided for use during the class only. Additionally, Chef Dawn will provide each participant with a 6-inch and an 8-inch, two-layered cake to decorate. A cake box will be provided to take the cake home in. All students are eligible for a 5% discount on purchases at Fran's on the day of class.
Available for students ages 16+.
Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maximum of 6. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund. Changes and cancellations are permitted up to 7 days before the class. No refunds or changes are allowed within 7 days of the class
In response to the pandemic, we have reduced the number of students in each class in order to maintain proper social distancing. Face coverings are required during the class. If you forget yours, we have disposable face masks that you can use. We also have plenty of hand sanitizer for use during the class.
